Emer Fogarty, BSc, M.Ps.S.I., ProfDip, YTT
I am extremely passionate about alignment and high-performance. I have experienced the impact of misalignment on individuals and organisations and how it can lead to sickness, burnout and poor performance leading to poor results. In Through my own experience of performing on different stages in my life; including in sport playing inter-county Gaelic football, performing on stage Live in the Rose of Tralee, or most recently, performing in a highly ambitious tech firm called Version 1, I have learnt that high-performance is all about getting clear on what you want and aligning your energy, thinking and behaviour with those goals and objectives.
I believe that in organisation's and teams, by aligning people, processes and your plans, you can cut out the noise and make space for maximum productivity, efficiency and creativity. In my work, I use a blended approach, drawing upon my experience and learning from the psychological, coaching and spirituality worlds and from my own experience in life also.
I completed my undergrad in Psychology at NUIG and a Professional Diploma in Executive Coaching at the IMI. I am qualified in conducting Thomas psychometric assessments, my Yoga Teacher Training was with Yoga Alliance International and I am a Reiki Level 2 practitioner with the Reiki Federation of Ireland.

The values that underpin my life and my practice
Drive
I love working with people and businesses who are driven to be their best and are open to developing a growth mindset.
Respect
I confidentially hold people whilst respecting our differences, our time and mutual effort towards uncovering the truth they want to own and love.
Passion
I highly value living with passion & heart. I believe when we connect through the heart we feel truly alive and purposeful and we can connect with others in a much more authentic way.

Freedom
We lose sight of the fact that we can design the life and the organisation we want. We don't have to stay stuck, we have the freedom to grow and expand beyond limitations.
Authenticity
There is no alignment without authenticity. In my practice, it's how I show up as a coach and teacher, and I seek to bring it out in organisations and in those I work with and meet in life.
Empathy
I value my credentials but I always try to stay human in my work and I try to relate to the people in front of me because I've been in their shoes and understand the ups and downs in life and the challenge of the journey to alignment.
To live authentically is to align every facet of our multidimensional existence
I believe in a world where the businessman can also be the poet, where the footballer can also be a fashion designer, where the multiple aspects of our personalities can co-exist. I believe if we are to live in alignment we can build a life around these different aspects of ourselves. On my own journey into alignment, I learnt that part of living in alignment is understand the various parts of yourself and learning to let go of those parts as you grow and change overtime. I learnt a lot about performance in my different experiences on the sports field, on the stage and on the yoga mat.
I have shared below some of the various facets of my personality that tell my story overtime....

Emer the 'elite sportsperson'
Having played GAA for Kildare from U12 up to senior level, I was on the winning team in the TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship when we beat Clare in Croke Park in 2016.
Being part of an an elite dressing room for so many years refined my resilience and drive; I channelled this experience to enhance my coaching practice for other sports teams:
-
Kildare U20's, 2022 & manager Brian Flanagan, All-Ireland Runners Up
-
Kildare Minors 2022, All-Ireland Minor Championship Runners Up
-
Summerhill Senior Men's GAA Team Co. Meath
Emer the 'yoga teacher'
Having spent much of my life in the fast lane, my father's sudden death in 2019 stopped me in my tracks and forced me to slow down and take a step back from life. This very challenging time in my life forced me onto the yoga mat and when I started yoga I connected to a whole different side of myself.
What I learnt through this experience was the power of slowing down and the important of rest and space in high-performance. I now teach yoga and meditation as part of my work and I teach in some key places now:
-
Soul Space Community led by Gerry & Miriam Hussey
-
I teach yoga for inter-county and club GAA teams

Emer the 'Kildare Rose'
In 2019 I represented Kildare in the International Rose of Tralee in Kerry. I performed Live on RTE singing my very own rendition of 'the Parting Glass' which I dedicated to my Late Dad Michael Fogarty. The song seemed to capture the hearts of people all over the world and my video of the song received over a million views across various platforms.
What this thought me was the power of the heart, emotion and connection in performance. I realised performance requires tapping into the emotions in the heart, being human and speaking or singing from a place of truth, connection and vulnerability. Whether it be in business, sport or on stage, passion and heart have to be present for impact and high-performance.
Emer the 'artist & stage performer'
After featuring in the Rose of Tralee I released the Parting Glass on Spotify and Youtube along with an album of Irish songs that are of special significance to me.
While I haven't pursued a career as a musician or singer, music and singing are close to my heart and music always gives me a connection to home since music was always a part of my connection with my Dad. Since my single released, I have gone on to perform the Parting Glass live in the National Concert Hall as Part of Gerry & Miriam Hussey's Soul Space Sunday and Live in the Helix as part of the 'Everywhere we Go' podcast live show.
