I’m Emer Fogarty, a Business Psychologist working with leaders and management teams in high-growth, PE-backed businesses. I help them navigate growth, strengthen how they lead and work together, and execute the strategy required to create value.
I’ve lived the PE cycle from both sides. Before joining Volpi Capital in 2022, I worked inside Version 1, a Volpi-backed business, while it was being grown under investment.
Today, I work from the investor side, supporting management teams across the Volpi portfolio and beyond.
My work goes beneath behaviour to the patterns, beliefs and pressure responses that shape how leaders think, decide and perform. I connect that insight to targets, decisions, accountability, execution and exit readiness.
Growth depends on having the right management team and helping that team operate at the level the business now requires.
In high-growth, PE-backed businesses, delivering strategy depends on a management team with the capability, confidence and cohesion to take ownership, make good decisions and work together.
That can mean strengthening the existing team, assessing leadership capability or making better senior hiring decisions.
It often sounds like:
